Slime Café

"Welcome to the Slime Café! Come and get our delicious drinks and treats, all obtained from sustainable slime sources. So come on, sit down, relax and enjoy your favourite drink with a healthy dollop of fresh gream~"

Slime Café is a narrative Café game set in a quaint modern fantasy world, where slimes, goblins, manticores and more exist and freely roam the world. Many are hunted or sustainably farmed for the delicious products that can be made from them. Most are under the control of the Big-Slima corporation. 

Slime Café will deliver a narrative oriented take on traditional cooking games, giving you a chance to learn about the world and its people through its diverse cast of characters. 

You play as the newly hired Barista, Charlie, at the Slime Café - Run by the enigmatic Juliette and Lacy, working alongside a whole other cast of interesting individuals. Prepare the store, learn a whole collection of recipes, prepare drinks and hang out with your colleagues. With each day of work, you will get to engage with your co-workers in visual novel-styled narrative scenes and discover the mystery of what's really going on at Slime Café.

Please note that Slime Café is being developed on windows and for windows operating systems, therefore may not work properly or at all on other operating systems.

Slime Café plays out in 3 distinct phases: The narrative morning, drink making day and narrative evening. In the drink making phase, you will take orders from customers and make delicious drinks from a range of ingredients - But remember to close the fridge when you're done with it!

Slime Café is a year long student project being developed by a group of 7 third year students at Falmouth University, all studying Game Development. This project was released fully on May the 21st, 2021, as part of our assignment hand in. You can also find our lovely external audio guys here.
